St. Padre Pio (1887-1968) lived most of his adult life in the Franciscan Capuchin Friary of San Giovanni Rotondo (from 1916 until his death). St. Pio could bilocate, often conversed with his Guardian Angel, sent his Angel on specific missions, read the thoughts of souls, and was known to spend hours and hours hearing confessions of people who traveled great distances to confess to him. He often reminded penitents of the mortal sins they had forgotten about. Many books have been written about his miracles and his life and struggles. He was a stickler for modesty, often refusing to hear the confessions of women or men whom he thought were dressed improperly. For women, this meant a fairly long skirt ... at least 7" below the knee, and absolutely no pants on women.
