The Fall of the Russian Empire

The Fall of the Russian Empire

$ 24.95
The author wrote this book ten years after the revolution of 1917 when events were still fresh in people's memories. He traveled in Russia in the early 1920s and later interviewed some of the key figures in the events such as Alexander Kerensky. This makes the book much more appealing than academic histories written decades after the events that rely solely on archival materials. The prose is easy to read and flows smoothly. There are many good black and white photos that help to put a human face on the characters. (Taken from a book review)

357 pp., hard cover
